Florence E. (Hendrickson) Lewis

POTTSVILLE - Florence E. Lewis, 82, of First Ave., Pottsville, died Thursday at the Lehigh Valley Hospital. Born in Philadelphia on December 3, 1924, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Hoke Hendrickson. She was a 1942 graduate of Pottsville High School. On December 26, 1945 she married Stuart W. Lewis, who survives. Until retiring, she was employed by the Phillips-Jones company in Pottsville. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Pottsville. Surviving Florence, in addition to her husband of 61 years are: three sons, Richard and his wife Mary Ann of Bethlehem, Robert and his wife Sandi of East Windsor, NJ, and Gary and his wife Donna, of Richmond VA; two daughters, Kathy Lewis, of Mineral VA, and Karen and her husband Craig Davis, of Coral Springs FL; nine grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private, held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. The family requests contributions be made to St. Patrick's Memorial Fund, 319 Mahontongo St. Pottsville. The Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, Inc. 6th & W. Market St. Pottsville is handling the arrangements.
