WILKES-BARRE-Dominic James Mack, Jr., 41, of East South Street, Wilkes-Barre, died Monday, January 1, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Kingston on September 1, 1965, the son of Dominic James and Molly (Gallagher) Mack, Sr. of Mountain Top. He was a 1983 graduate of Wyoming Seminary, where he was a member of the Lacrosse team. He attended Wilkes-College. He was a member of St. Nicholas Church, Wilkes-Barre. He was a coach for the Wyoming Valley Youth Soccer League. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed dancing with his wife and attending concerts. He loved watching the Buffalo Bills and being surrounded by family and friends. He was the co-owner and third generation of Mack Novelty, Inc., where he served as treasurer. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, David. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 15 years, the former Colleen M. Eichhorn; children, Dominic James Mack, III, Alexandra Mack and Stefanie Macri, all at home; brothers James D. Mack, Mountain Top and Michael A. Mack, Wilkes-Barre; many aunts uncles, nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 a.m. from the Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Nicholas Church, South Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre. Monsignor Joseph G. Rauscher will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. The viewing will be Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Community Care, 385 Wyoming Avenue, Kingston, PA 18704 or Medical Oncology Associates, 382 Pierce Street, Kingston, PA 18704. The family would like to thank all of his special friends who helped him through difficult times. Dominic will be remembered for his philosophy of "Flying On Faith".
