YORK - Eva Blanche [Rhine] Kling, 98, died Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at York Lutheran Home at Sprenkle Drive. She was the wife of the late Fred P. Kling. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York. A viewing will be from 10-11:00 AM Monday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Born January 12, 1909 in Waterloo, Mifflin Co., a daughter of the late Rudolph O. and Gertrude [Peck] Rhine, she was a graduate of Lewistown High School. Mrs. Kling grew up on a farm and was proud to have held her drivers license for 75 years, beginning at age 12 and continuing to drive herself until age 87. She was active with Shiloh Fire Company and Shiloh Garden Club. Mrs. Kling is survived by a son, Jerome F. Kling of York; three daughters, E. Julia Walker of Shiloh, Janet L. Sherbine of Somerset, and S. Jane Florintino of Ocean City, MD; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two great great granddaughters; and a good friend and caregiver, Monell Weaver. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amy Omlor, and three sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to York Lutheran Home at Sprenkle Drive, 1801 Folkemer Circle, York, PA 17404.
