Eugene L. Stump

Eugene L. Stump, 77, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Hospice & Community Care, Mt. Joy. He was the husband of the late Corinne L. (Hengst) Stump. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Christ United Methodist Church, 200 N. Main Street, Jacobus with his pastor, The Rev. Dr. Bryan Mann officiating. A viewing will be held from 7-9:00 PM Tuesday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Burial will be in Christ UM Cemetery. Born January 24, 1939 in Jacobus, a son of the late Lester G. and Ruth E. (Jackson) Stump, he was a 1956 graduate of William Penn Senior High School. Mr. Stump began his career at Dentsply, Inc. and then retired from AMP, Inc. He was a member of Christ UM Jacobus. Eugene enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons and family, as well as, playing the guitar. Mr. Stump is survived by two sons, Ronald M. and wife Donna Stump of Felton and Richard J. “Rick” and wife Tricia Stump of York; four grandchildren, Robert Stump, Jr., Kasey, Lydia and Ellie Stump; and a great grandson, Kayden. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert E. Stump, Sr.; and two sisters, Jackie and June.
