Elizabeth A. "Betty" Cannon

Elizabeth A. “Betty” (Anson) Cannon, 83, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at SpiriTrust Lutheran The Village at Sprenkle Drive. She was the wife of the late Charles B. Cannon. Funeral services will be private with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Park, Glen Bernie, MD. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Cannon was born November 16, 1932 in Washington, DC, a daughter of the late William O. and Harriet (Sowers) Anson. She retired from the Department of Defense. Mrs. Cannon is survived by two daughters, Valarie Hawkins of York and Pauline Wilson of Waynesville, NC. She was preceded in death by a grandson, John Hawkins.
