Eileen R. (Hepler) Sullenberger

York—Eileen R. (Hepler) Sullenberger, 71, died Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at York Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Richard K. Sullenberger to whom she was married for 50 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2PM, Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. A visitation will be held from 1-2PM, Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Born August 4, 1944 in Helfenstein, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Grace Hepler. She was employed as a machine operator with El Camino Real in York for several years until her retirement in 2005. An avid gardener and flower enthusiast, she also enjoyed baking and loved traveling with her husband. Eileen will be remembered for her delicious homemade food, hospitality, and love of animals. She was a loyal friend and a mother to many. She lived an authentic and genuine life. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Sullenberger is survived by one sister, Bonnie Lou Palermo and her husband, Michael of North Carolina; a niece Karen M. Bledsoe and a nephew Kevin M.
