E. Jevonne Alloway

YORK- E. Jevonne Alloway, 88, died Friday, June 22, 2007 at Pleasant Acres Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. A service will be 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc. 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a visitation from 9-10 a.m. The Reverend Sterling Trimmer, Jr. will be officiating the service. Burial will be private in Greenmount Cemetery. Miss Alloway was born in West York on November 21, 1918, a daughter of the late Richard M. Alloway, Sr. and Edna Frances (Shorts) Alloway. Her stepmother, Ruth N. Alloway, also preceded her in death. Miss Alloway was a member of Bell Socialization in York and worked as a packager for the former Sheltered Work Shop in York. Miss Alloway leaves a brother, Richard M. Alloway, Jr. of Apex, N.C., a stepbrother, Glen Staub of California, and three sisters: E. Ernestine Gemmil of York, G.
