YORK- Douglas D. Dubbs, 77, went to be with his heavenly father after a two-year battle with liver cancer on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at his residence. He was the husband of Lois E. (Chamberlain) Dubbs to whom he was married for 58 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 2185 Windsor Rd., with Pastor Angela Nett officiating. A viewing will be from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Rd., York. A funeral cortege will meet at the entrance of the cemetery at 1:45 p.m. The services will be live streamed on the Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc. Facebook page at www.facebook.com/olewilertributes Born on December 6, 1943 in Spring Grove, he was the son of the late Clarence and Myrtle Dubbs and Evelyn Dubbs. Douglas retired from Mastercraft Specialties in Red Lion. Doug served our country in the U.S. Air Force and will be honored by a flag folding ceremony. He was an active member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church of Windsor. Along with his wife, Lois, Doug is survived by his son, Michael D. Dubbs and his wife, Lisa of Mt. Wolf; daughter, Ann M. Spickler and her husband, William of McVeytown; grandchildren, Brenden, Ben and Makenna Spickler and Christian and Alaina Dubbs; sister, Peggy Conrardy and her husband, Peter of Orchid, FL; and “brother” Gary Grimm, Sr. of York. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Lipsitz and Myrcla Grimm; and two brothers, Harold Dubbs and James Wolfe.
