WILKES-BARRE-Dorothy A. Zorzi, 96, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Wednesday in Hospice Care of the VNA, Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Wilkes-Barre on December 15, 1912, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Matilda (Sroginis) Semokaitis. She was a 1929 graduate of G.A.R. High School. She received both her beautician's license and cosmetology teacher's license. She was formerly employed by Silvio and Nick Perrella as a beautician and teacher. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Michael Ricci; second husband Aldo M. Zorzi; grandson, Darren Rygiel; sisters Helen Flynn and Sally Kropp. Surviving is her daughter with whom she resided, Dorothy M. Rygiel, Dupont; grandchildren, Carl Kishel and his wife Christy, Downingtown; Craig Kishel, Dutch, MT; Dawn Rygiel, Dupont; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Caden and Kira Kishel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church of the Immaculate Conception, 134 South Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre. Monsignor Thomas V. Bannick will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp. Anyone attending the Mass is asked to go directly to the church.
