Red Lion - Carrie Ann Flory, 18, was taken to the Lord by Angels, August 25, 2007. She was the daughter of Tina M. [Hartman] Boyer of Red Lion and James M. Flory of Jacobus; and stepdaughter of DeWaine J. Boyer. A tribute service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Codorus Church of the Brethren, 1129 Dunkard Valley Road, Loganville with Pastor Richard J. Fischl officiating. Viewings will be held from 7-9:00 PM Thursday and 10-11:00 AM Friday at the Church. Burial will be in the Church cemetery. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Carrie was born November 6, 1988 in York and was a 2007 graduate of Dallastown High School where she was active in the Big Buddy Program. She was also a graduate of the Advance Skills Center and earned her Certified Nurses Aid designation. Carrie had worked as a CNA at Manor Care - Dallastown and also worked full-time as a manager at Bon-Ton Dept. Store. In addition to her dedication to helping other people, she was an animal lover who enjoyed collecting stuffed panda bears. She had also been a cheerleader with the Dallastown Cougar football program. In addition to her parents, Carrie is survived by a brother, Michael J. Flory of Jacobus; a half-sister, Gerica Kate Flory of Dover; a stepbrother, Brandon M. and wife Amy Boyer of Williamson, PA; a stepsister, Sarah E. Boyer of York; maternal grandparents, James and Ruth Hartman of York; paternal grandmother, Ursula Flory and companion Ronald Whitman of York; six aunts and six uncles; two nieces, Tessa and Katelynn; three nephews, Brandon, Wyatt, and Tanner; 21 cousins; and many loving friends. She was preceded in death by a grandfather, Paul S. Flory.
