LAPORTE, PA-Beverley Anne Batley Stolarski, 81, formerly of Troy, Pa., passed away peacefully to join her beloved husband, Bob, on Sunday morning, Nov. 23, 2008, at the Highlands Care Center in Laporte, Pa., following a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Bev was born on March 26, 1927, in Wharton, N.J., the only child of the late John and Mary Louise (Lambert) Batley. She attended Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y., and graduated from George Washington University in Washington, DC in 1950 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She worked for both the Department of the Navy and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). She was the wife of the late Robert Stolarski for 45 years and a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed politics, reading, and doll making and collecting. She was a lifelong advocate of education for all. She cared deeply for those around her and would do anything to help them. Surviving are her four children, Jane (Erik) Polcrack of Shunk, Pa., Mary Alice (Jeff) Cleve of Marlton, N.J., Becky (Robb) Munson of Fullerton, Calif., and Carl (Beth) Stolarski of New Ringgold, Pa.; and 12 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert, in 1996. The Mass of Christian burial to honor Beverley's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at St. John's Catholic Church, at the corner of Exchange and High Streets, Troy, PA. Burial will follow the service in St. John's Cemetery. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St., in Troy, Pa., is handling funeral arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family requests a contribution be made to the Bradford County Library in Burlington, Pa.
