Betty Lord Holzer

POTTSVILLE - Betty Holzer, 85, formerly of Pottsville, died Sunday morning at Cedar Haven Nursing Home, Lebabon. Born in Pottsville, on June 5, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Irvin G. and Elizabeth Mehling Lord. She was a 1942 graduate of Pottsville High School. Until retiring, she was employed as a sewing machine operator for Boltz Knitting Mills. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville. Surviving Betty are: a daughter, Beverly and her husband Ralph, Munz, of Annville; four grandchildren, Ryan, Sarah, Lindsay and Brittany; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: a sister, Edna Lyons and four brothers, Lynn, Arthur, George and Irvin Lord. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 AM from the Trinity Lutheran Church, 3rd & Arch St., Pottsville, with the Reverend Harold Hand officiating. Family and friends may call Wednesday evening from 7 until 9 PM at the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & W. Market St., Pottsville, and Thursday morning from 9:45 AM until 10:45 AM at the church. Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
