Betty C. (Matter) York

TROY, PA- Betty C. (Matter) York, 90, of Troy, PA, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at the Troy Community Hospital. She was born in Troy, PA to Milton and Anne (Ward) Matter on February 28, 1920. She is survived by her cousin Joann McNett of Columbia Crossroads, PA. Betty was a teacher in the New York City School District PS119 where she worked with special needs children, then became principal until her retirement in 1989. After her retirement Betty moved back to Troy, PA. All who knew Betty loved her, she always had a smile on her face, loved to laugh, and enjoyed life. Betty was loved very much and will be missed.
