W. MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP. - Beth E. Merica, 48, of York, died Sunday, April 8, 2007 at her residence. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, at Living Word Community Church, 2530 Cape Horn Rd. in York, with a visitation from 10-11 a.m. The Reverend Steven C. Almquist will be officiating at the service. Burial will be private in Mount Rose Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is in charge of the arrangements. Beth was born in York on September 24, 1958, a daughter of the late David and Mary (Pearson) Merica. She worked in Human Resources at Pennex Aluminum in Wellsville. She was a 1976 graduate of Central York High School. She enjoyed family get-togethers, especially holidays, travel, attending Broadway shows, and had a love for dogs. She valued true friendship, such as the one she had with Christa Stimpson, a friend since early childhood. Beth leaves two brothers: Gary Merica of Red Lion and Mike Merica of York, and three nephews: Jason, Tyler, and Evan Merica.
