MILTON - Anita D. (Diehl) Mullin, 73, died on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at the Kramm Health Care Center, Milton. Anita was born on May 11, 1936 in Bedford and was a daughter of the late Elmer and Lucinda (Diehl) Diehl. She had graduated from Chestnut Ridge High School. In May of 1955, she married the late Donald E. Mullin and celebrated 41 years of marriage before his death in 1996. She was a dedicated homemaker, but prior to her marriage, she had worked as a telephone operator and a secretary. She was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ, Amaranth and the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, playing cards. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Anita is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law; David E. and Patricia Mullin of Manns Choice, Paul K. and April Mullin of Lancaster and Donald S. "Skeeter" and Tericia of Montandon, two daughters and one son-in-law; Pamela D. and Gary Keister of Mifflinburg and Kimberly J. McCaffery of White Deer, nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, four step grandchildren, four step great-grandchildren, one brother and sister-in-law; Robert W. and Mildred Diehl of Bedford and one sister and brother-in-law; Nancy and William Bolinger of Cumberland, MD. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. There will be a gathering of friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at the St. Johns United Church of Christ, 906 Old Route 15, New Columbia, PA 17856, with the memorial service beginning at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Douglas J. Seagle will officiate the services. The burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Johns United Church of Christ. Arrangements are being handled by the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton, PA 17847.
